Mr. Frank DeStefano of Arts and Entertainment at IUP & President of the State College & University Professional Association will be facilitating this informative Q&A session.

Also, Dr. Lunardini will be providing those in attendance some ‘parting advice’ from his years of experience in higher education. This is an opportunity that you don’t want to miss!

mentor/mentee & orientation

i pity the fool that doesn’t become a mentor!

I’m sure you had a chance to talk to some of our prospective SAHE classmates at visitation day back in March.  The time has been flying by, and orientation is approaching quickly! 

ASD needs a few of you to assist with the planning and implementation of SAHE orientation on July 6 & 7.  If you are interested in this opportunity, the first meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 11:30 in 227 Stouffer Hall.  If you cannot make the meeting, please email Ryan Cunningham (r.s.cunningham@iup.edu).

SAHE Yard Sale

 

It’s spring cleaning time!

Dr. Mueller will be hosting the annual SAHE yard sale on Saturday, May 3rd.  Start gathering your unwanted items to sell to the Indiana public!  Please contact Mary Miller (cupieblue@yahoo.com) to let her know if you are participating by April 18th.  If you cannot attend, Mary has offered to hold onto your items and to keep track of the ones that sell. 

 

 

Dr. Lowery to join SAHE faculty

The position of Associate Professor has been offered to and accepted by Dr. John Wesley Lowery of  Oklahoma State University where he is an Associate Professor and coordinator of their college student affairs program. Dr. Lowery previously served on the faculty at the University of South Carolina and has held administrative positions at Adrian College and Washington University.  Dr. Lowery is actively involved in numerous professional associations including ACPA, ASHE, ASJA, and NASPA and is a frequent speaker, consultant, and author on topics related to student affairs and higher education, particularly legislative issues and judicial affairs on which he is widely regarding as a leading expert. Dr. Lowery will begin in the fall of 2008.
